NATIONAL NIGHT OUT KICK OFF – CITY OF ALTON TO JOIN CITIES NATIONWIDE FOR ‘AMERICA’S NIGHT OUT AGAINST CRIME’
July 12, 2010 – National Night Out, Tuesday, August 3, 2010, is designed to: (1) Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness; (2) Generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime efforts; (3) Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and (4) Send a message to criminals letting them know neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
IN ALTON, WE WILL CELEBRATE IN TWO WAYS ON TWO DAYS
Please see the flyer for the concert events that are happening at the amphitheater on the third Thursday of each month this summer- these are going to be some great shows that are FREE!
Come on down and have a good time!
We are running a special rate for transients on these nights- if anyone you know wants to dock with us for the concert nights, please have them give us a call at the office! This way everyone can make a night of a free concert and a cheap dock rate and a fun day and night out!! Before or after the concert they can cool off in our pool with a frozen drink or grab a bite.

We are looking forward to a great summer with lots of fun in store for all of you . Please refer to our summer events and please don’t forget the Alton Amphitheater will have events this summer. We will have more information to follow on the event schedule of the Amphitheater listed soon. Make sure to come in the deli and see what Diana has new cooked up and look at all the shopping I did during the winter(it is a tough job shopping but someone has to do it) and have for sale in our ship’s store.
We have done a lot of updating again this winter around the pool area and the beautiful artwork in the bathhouses was done by our in house artist/bartender/just published author Beth Speer. We will also be sporting new furniture around the pool for your pleasure. We are looking forward to seeing all of our slip holders, visitors and guests. Please let us know if you need anything and enjoy-it is going to be an exciting summer.

The piles have been set on “K” dock!

On Monday 4/12, Massman construction brought in their 160’ crane to set new pilings for “K” dock- with those in place, it’s just a matter of days until “K” dock is finshed!
We took a couple of close-up shots of Bob Brown’s office (He’s the tow pilot) – What an amazing bit of work getting that boat in here!
